Blitline Makes Multi-File Format Processing SaaS Available via Amazon EventBridge
SEATTLE, June 16, 2020 – Blitline, a SaaS solution provider for software and media companies who need secure and affordable multi-format file processing at scale for their applications and platforms, today announced that the company’s file job processing results are now available via Amazon EventBridge, a serverless event bus that makes it easy to connect applications together using data from owned applications, integrated Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) applications, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions.
“Making Blitline's API available on Amazon EventBridge was an easy decision since most of our customers use cloud-based solutions like Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) to power their content management and digital asset management capabilities,” said Jason Malcolm, Blitline Founder and Chief Technology Officer. “These same customers now have an even easier way to implement Blitline as an alternative to insecure internal applications or costly outsourced solutions that charge by the gigabyte and are primarily geared towards image and video formats only.”
Blitline SaaS enables both digital application and platform providers to process virtually any file type, from images such as .jpg, .png, and .tif, to Adobe PDF files, Office 365 files, video files, audio files, and more. With Blitline, customers can perform numerous file processing functions including automatic converting and transcoding, re-sizing, cropping, compositing, text overlay, color extraction, watermarking, de-duplication, artificial intelligence (AI)-powered background removal, HTML rendering for SEO outputs, and metadata extraction and object recognition through Amazon Rekognition.
Amazon EventBridge delivers a stream of real-time data from event sources, such as Zendesk, Datadog, or Pagerduty, and routes that data to targets like AWS Lambda. Clients can create routing rules to determine where to send data to build application architectures that react in real time to any employed data sources. Amazon EventBridge makes it easy to build event-driven applications because it takes care of event ingestion and delivery, security, authorization, and error handling.
